2009-2012 Dodge RAM 1500/2500 2010-1012 RAM3500 Pickup Truck
I just finished installing this radio with a front and rear camera on my 2012 RAM 3500. The instructions sent with the radio are very basic, but I was able to complete the installation without any problems. The radio was shipped from Canada, so I thought contacting costomer service would be an issue. I had a couple of questions, so I emailed the person who had contacted me to verify the type of vehicle I had, and he was very helpful, and responded quickly. So far everything works great. The DVD player looks good, and the sound is really clear. It is plug and play as advertised. The bluetooth quality is nice as well. calls are clear, and it automatically connects every time I get into the truck. The only downside is, there is not an option to call someone by saying a command. You actually have to go into your phone book and select the contact. Which can't be done while driving. Most bluetooth devices have a command button to push, and it responds with ( Please say a command ). Not this one. Unless I'm doing something wrong. The USB plugs are a nice feature too. My IPOD works great through them. The rear and front cameras work well also. The rear camera has the parking grid for easy backing, and the front camera is nice for seeing objects when pulling up to it. Both cameras have infra red lights for night time viewing. And photo sensors, so that the infra red only comes on at night. The GPS seems to function well also, though I have not used it on a long trip yet. It constantly tells me when I'm speeding. I need to turn that funtion off. There are many more feature to the radio that I don't used, but they are there if you need them. All in all I think this radio is exactly what I was looking for. It looks like it was factory installed. I am very pleased with my purchase and I hope this review helps anyone else looking to upgrade their radio.
