This is basically a debranded version of the Glasses-free 3D GADMEI E8-3D 8GB Dual Core DDR3 1GB 8.1inch Capacitive Android 4.0 Dual Camera Bluetooth Tablet PC Black.

Overall the tablet isn't impressive and could use a lot of extra features, but it's the only one with a glass-free 3D display so when that's the feature you need most, its shortcomings aren't all that bad.

Battery life is pretty good.

The tablet is a bit on the heavy side but it feels very sturdy.

It lacks all the useful stuff like GPS, compass, notification led, flash, vibrator, proximity and temperature sensors :-( Basically it only has the orientation sensor (3 axis accelerometer)

The volume button is backwards, the lower button increases the volume.

The display uses a TN panel so it's darker from the left and paler from the right viewing angle.

The included documentation advises the user to hold the tablet at an angle one inch further away on the right side to get the best parallax when viewing 3D content, but it's because the 3D video player which comes with the tablet is programmed wrong with the l/r order backwards and no option to swap the order. The publisher of that player has been very prompt to answer my emails and willing to improve the player so it may get fixed by the time you read this.

To view/edit and take 3D stills I recommend downloading 3DSteroid(Pro), it's the best one out there so far.

To manually activate the parallax barrier (turn 3d on) download "Gadmei3D Activator" that way you can use a 3d wallpaper for example.

The wifi antenna isn't very good so the range is somewhat limited, even after using iwconfig to boost the transmitter to Max power it only gets 1/2 the range my other devices get but it mostly works.

The only method I found that really worked to root this Gadmei tablet is to download "870s2-root.zip", copy it to the external SD card, and turn the tablet on by holding the power and volume + (down/right) buttons until the bootloader menu appears, then select that zip file.

With some patience, after updating/replacing the included apps, it works well for me.
