I use this viewfinder on my Olympus E-PL1 Olympus PEN E-PL1 12.3MP Live MOS Micro Four Thirds Interchangeable Lens Digital Camera with 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 Zuiko Digital Zoom Lens (Black) mostly when in bright sunlight situations. It can be used in low light also, but the rear LCD usually suffices then. If there were a method of permanently attaching the VF-2 to the camera, I would have to give that serious consideration.
It attaches firmly in the camera's hot shoe, but there's nothing besides friction holding it on. I keep close watch on it so I don't lose it, but I've had no problems.
The VF-2 is simply excellent, with great color and very high resolution.
