I use this product for serious amateur photography, mostly of nature. This replaced my older EOS Rebel body which developed a screw lose inside the body and not cheap to repair. Camera shops tell me Canon cameras have that tendency. As most of these cameras, they have many options to preselect settings for various photo projects. It has even an option for night shooting without a tripod, but I have not tried many of these pre-selected option options. I generally use mostly manual settings, even manual focus, including the photographing of moving things. The camera produces very high quality endresults, especially if you shoot in raw and know how to use a good photo processing software. The digital film processing now in the camera is considerably better than my first Canon Rebel and was the reason for my upgrade, not the additional and enhanced shooting modes now offered. Too often the choices such shooting modes make are not pleasing to my eye as the one's I make manually, but I am sure that is not universal. In any case, I recommend this camera body which when provided with a good lens that suits your subject.
