I can't speak for either of the other reviewers, but mine was a direct import or "gray market" body and lenses. That means Nikon won't warranty anything and will never do any warranty work either. DavisMAX offered me a 3 year 3rd party warranty or a refund. They said that the reason they sold me a "gray market" camera was because they were out of stock. They should more clearly state that the manufacturer's warranty won't be available.
