For those of you who have wanted a very long telephoto lens, you can't go wrong with this one. It is heavier than you will want to hold, so I keep mine mounted on a tripod. Daylight shooting is best, always using a high shutter speed (1/1000 second is my default). Wildlife photography is where this lens really shines. Got good but not great pictures of the moon, but I'm sure with a little experimentation, that will work out. Will frame about 2/3 of the moon at highest power, but needs remote shutter release or using the camera's self-timer to prevent blurring, but haven't checked out this option yet.
