Part 1. Order and Delivery: 5 stars

The camera system was manfactured in and shipped from the Peoples' Republic of China. It was marketed by KLTdirect via Amazon. Neither the manufacturer nor the marketer has a website wherein the product line is described. The camera system, as sold via Amazon, includes exactly one monitor and one camera; I needed a system with two cameras. It was easy to order a second camera, via Amazon-supervised e-mail to-and-from the Kastonecorp main office in Shen Zhen, China.

A monitor and one camera were ordered on 11/25/2012, and were installed on my truck by 12/5/2012. DHL Express picked up the package in China and delivered it to my home in Edgewood, NM, in a couple days. The instruction manual is sufficiently clear to support installation and use.

The entire system--monitor and 2 cameras--will be installed on a 28-ft travel trailer being pulled by a F350 Ford truck. The first camera is mounted on the back of the truck's cab (is used to guide attachment of the goose-neck); it seems to be working as advertised. The second camera will be mounted on the back of the trailer (will be used to guide backing-up of the truck and trailer). The second camera was ordered 12/07/2012, was picked up by DHL Express in Hong Kong on 12/13/2012, and delvered to my

home in New Mexico on 12/15/2012,

Part 2. Attractive Features: 5 stars

At the time I ordered the camera system, it was the only system on the market with detachable transmitters.

a. The display is small enough to mount on the truck's dashboard without unduly obstructing the driver's view of the road, but large enough to be useful.

b. The cameras' wireless transmitters can be detached; one can mount a camera on the back of a trailer, and the camera's transmitter on the front of the trailer, where it can "see" the monitor. Cables need not be run between the truck and the trailer.

c. Night vision capability.

d. Water resistance.

Part 3. Performance: TBD stars

The central question: Are the system's features integrated to so as to produce a robust and usable installation? The answer to this question requires extensive hands-on experience. So it is TBD (to be determined) at this time.
