Simply put, this takes fantastic pictures both far away and extremely close. I paint miniatures as a hobby, and they are about 2 inches tall, and this camera can take super close ups of these minis with ease and the picture quality is awesome, even at such close ranges. Ive also taken several pictures of flowers and outside stuff, and the pictures look fantastic. Completely happy with my purchase
