I've owned a lot of video cameras over the years! The Black Magic Cinema Camera EF is my favorite! I originally shot with a Canon GL-1 then slowly moved up to HDV.. P2 cards.. Etc. But now shooting raw 2.5k on SSD drives, thunderbolt transferring files! I'm sold! I'd never go back to the old way of doing things. This is also my first cinema style camera. I played around with DSLRs and did that whole thing. I would say Black Magic did things right! They made a low cost 2k camera for the masses!
The only reason I went with the 2k over the 4k is.. well I don't own a very powerful computer and I don't own a 4k tv. I did want a sharp image and "future proof" my footage.
I do have to warn you!! You can not delete footage in the camera, which makes this camera more like REAL FILM. You have to go transfer "process" the footage into the computer. Like real film you can't just simply erase a shot. ;)
Now owning the camera for a few weeks I have to say it lays in bed with me at night to charge, never leaves my side!
