There are some good reviews here, but i wanted to respond to the few negative reviews. First, there may be some people who don't know how to set up a bluetooth connection properly, and they need to get some help, because this is a great little keyboard and case. If you still have troubles, once it is set up correctly, then you likely have a bad unit and should return it for a good one. This types and protects wonderfully.

Next, do NOT expect this (plus the iPad2) to be a laptop. Some reviewers seem to think that all they need to have a good laptop is to get a keyboard. No, not even close. Most tablets are designed to be, well, tablets. Extra light and small Mobile computing platforms for doing light computing tasks, especially for times that a full computer (laptop, whether Mac or PC) is not needed. By definition, it is not going to work or act like a full laptop... in other words, I don't run Final Cut Pro on the iPad, nor do I want to. This product WILL allow you to type up emails and word processing documents (if you have the apps, obviously) like a dream. I rarely get a letter that doesn't "connect" right while typing. But, no, this is NOT the same as having a laptop... it is better in some ways and it is worse in some ways. I use a notebook computer and an iPad and I bring along the one that makes the most sense for what I will be doing (software wise). I am shocked how often it is the iPad2.

In addition, make sure you are ordering the newer product if you have the iPad2 (its worth the extra 6 bucks)as the fit will not be good with the iPad2 if you buy Kennsington's iPad1 case... it won't be snug. Personally, I don't mind taking the iPad2 out of the case for pictures or video, but (of course) with the correct case you won't need to do so.

Lastly, ask yourself if you really NEED a bluetooth keyboard for your iPad? If you type a lot, you are going to love it. But if you only type on a rare occasion, you will find a thinner case and the virtual iPad keyboard will be more fitting for you. I really like this case, obviously, but it is the right thing for me. If you understand that this product will not give you a full PC or MacBook Pro notebook, then you too will love this nice little devise and case.

I purchased this to replace the original 500GB disk in my MacBook Pro.

Fairly simple process to replace, if you have the right cable.

In this case, I purchased an exteral USB-SATA cable, and used the standard process of creating a new boot volume on the new disk, and then did a copy/clone of the internal disk to the new disk.

Once the disk copy is completed, eject the new disk, shut down the laptop, remove the screws to open the case, 2 screws to remove the drive, unplug the SATA connector, swap the 4 screws from the old to new disk, plug it back in, button up the case and boot.

Done. Simple process. Seems to work fine.

This is a 5400RPM disk, the old 500GB disk I had was a 7200RPM. There is a noticable difference in speed when copying a lot of sequential files. For "normal" use, opening apps, saving files, etc, no speed difference.

Olympus Zuiko EC-20 2x Teleconverter for Olympus Digital SLR

A 2X teleconverter requires a lot. Not only does it have to have good optics itself; it has to link well to the primary lens, supporting quick focus and aperture settings. It requires high end optics on the far end of the teleconverter, as well. The Zuiko 2X teleconverter easily meets these requirements.

Used with the Olympus E-3 and the Zuiko 300mm f2.8 lens over the course of two weeks in the field, it performed flawlessly. Autofocus, even on birds in flight, was quick and reliable. I've cropped photos taken with the teleconverter and my 300mm by as much as 50% and not been able to find any defects or flaws. The focus is crisp across the image. Because the Olympus System uses Four Thirds technology, with a much smaller sensor than most digital SLRs, the potential for problems is probably higher. I encountered none.

This is a fine piece of optics that does exactly what you ask of it. Highly recommended.

The printer is excellent, no doubts. Cost of drum and toner are much cheaper than other brand printers, my main reason for buying it. Also I had on older brother MFC before and always liked it. The only problem is, the brother scanner software is poor compared to my 5 year old Canon scanner software, i'm a little surprised about it. For example, when you do a scan preview, it automatically selects the scan area in the Canon, not here though, thats quite basic and a pain not having that feature. Also, there are much much fewer scan image adjustment options that Canon had.

Other than the scanner software pains, I like the printer however, scan quality is good, print quality is good. I have it hooked up to my network via an ethernet cable which has a wireless gateway. So this printer is available on the network wirelessly also. I don't know what the big deal is about a 'wireless ready' printer, all a printer needs to be is (ethernet) network capable, most of us have a wireless router and it will automatically become available to all PCs on the same network wired or wireless.

Pioneer AVH-P6300BT 7-Inch In-Dash DVD A/V Receiver

This Head unit, Pioneer AVH-P6300BT is an excellent fit for my car. It is perfect for any vehicle that only will accept a single DIN dash opening. Mine is more like 1.5 DIN but with the Crutchfield adapter fits great. The only modification I had to do is to trim off the rear support inside the dash. Dremel tool tape and about two minutes of my time.

The 7' screen is nice and big. It features touch screen controls with manual volume, SRC and FWD / REV buttons. most all other functions are touch screen. The FWD and REV also have duplicate touch controls on screen. There is a USB port on front, and an aux in for a 1/8 mini. This jack is also used for the Auto EQ function.

Mine is connected to several Amps powering 12 speakers and a 10' sub. I yanked out the crappy Monsoon System. Excellent sound, very loud, but crisp and clear.

This thing is not short on connections. 6 channels of outputs, Bluetooth mic for hands free calling, video out for back seat monitors, USB,

Aux in, SD card reader, rear view camera input, interface bus, tethered remote input, etc....

Flip out screen is very stable especially in a lowered Trans-Am with sport suspension

You can adjust the screen viewing angle to lay slightly forward, straight, and laying back. You can use a standard iPod/iPhone USB cable to listen to audio. However you need to purchase the cable required to view video/audio! Use cable below.

Phottix Mitros+ Plus TTL With Built-in Odin Transmitter And Odin

This is a really good product. I bought it to be able to control my Canon flashes via Odin receivers, or to have it off camera being controlled by my Odin transmitter and not bother with receivers, etc.

This flash works wonderfully. I haven't had any glitches so far. However, it is a bit under-powered compared to my Canon 580EX II speedlites. It's close to one stop less powerful. Two thirds of a stop to be exact.

But the biggest drawback is that it heats up real fast -just after about 5 consecutive flashes*, and the heat protection kicks in to extend the recycle time (BTW, with fresh batteries). In the same situation my Canon flashes will go as many as 15 times before the slow recycle kicks in.

The funny thing is that sometimes with the red light off (meaning the flash is not ready to fire), I can still fire it and it produces a normal ETTL illumination as if the light was on and the flash was ready to fire.

All that said,I'm still not 100% sure about my conclusions. More tests are needed. I will get back with more info at some point.

* I never use straight flash. always bouncing off ceilings, walls, etc

The cam I'm using with this flash is Canon 5D Mark II

Edit: A little correction. The flash does not really heat up more than Canon flashes. It's just that the heat protection kicks in too soon. This could probably be addressed in a future firmware update.

Adobe Photoshop CS5

My main interest is photography and after using Photoshop Elements for many years I decided to see what Photoshop CS5 would offer. This software package comes with Bridge which is a Browser that will help you keep track of photos by adding key words, and ratings, etc. It will let you open photos then send them to Photoshop. If you shoot RAW photos Adobe Camera Raw is also included. My first impression of these three elements is very positive. I was especially impressed with Adobe Camera Raw. This very capable program will allow you to do most of the adjustments that a photographer will need to do for non-destructive adjustment of exposure, color, sharpness, spot removal, cropping and more. Bridge is great for organizing photos for projects using other Adobe software along with Photoshop. For organizing hundreds or thousands of photos I think Photoshop Elements Organizer is a little better than Bridge. I think the Elements Organizer is a data base where as Bridge is a browser so PSE Organizer will keep track of and show thumbnails photos on external drives or DVDs even when they are off line. As for Photoshop itself it is an awesome piece of software with an amazing capability. You can find plenty of reviews on-line. There is quite a learning curve for this package so I think you need to get a good book on the subject since there is none included. There are quite a lot of on-line video tutors available however. I suggest you check out the Russell Brown Photoshop Tutor on-line. He has several excellent videos free to view also check out Adobe TV, this may be a good way to review the program before purchase.

One big problem I had is this: I wanted to use my existing Photoshop Elements 8 Organizer, to keep track of photos, with Photoshop but these two programs don't play together well. When a Raw file is passed on to Adobe Camera Raw version 6.3 things work ok but when done with ACR the photo will not be passed back to the Organizer whether or not the photo is opened in Photoshop CS5. Using a JPEG photo sent directly to Photoshop seems to work ok however so it looks like the problem may be with ACR. I didn't see a way to open a JPEG into ACR from the Organizer, you can with Bridge. I sent a notice about this to Adobe support and got a reply that since my PS Elements 8 is not supported I would have to purchase support even though the problem could be in Photoshop or ACR which are supported. A web search revealed that this is apparently a bug going back several versions. One blogger was told to buy Lightroom. So don't plan on using Photoshop with Elements Organizer for raw files and don't count on Adobe support for help. You could pay for the support but may still find this fruitless. Of course you may not encounter this problem (I'm using Win 7 Home premium 64 bit). Photoshop Elements will do both Asset Management plus photo editing. To do the same with Photoshop you will need to use Bridge or a better solution for Photographers is to use Lightroom, an asset management program. The Lightroom + Photoshop option costs 10 times more than Elements alone however.

Bottom line: If you are starting out in photo editing I suggest Photoshop Elements and see if that will meet your needs. If not then move on to Lightroom which has the same capabilities as Adobe Camera Raw plus asset management however you will still need an editor. You can use the Elements Editor with Lightroom and if you what even more capabilities then get Photoshop for your editor. Photoshop, Bridge, Adobe Camera Raw has a learning curve of many hours, which could be fun. Elements also will take a lot of time but a lot of the knowledge you learn for Elements is also useful with Photoshop but plan on getting a book for either. You can learn this software on-line but I found that I would tend to bounce around from topic to topic where as a book leads you through a more logical flow. For PS Elements I used Philip Andrews Advanced Photoshop Elements 7 for Digital Photographers also available from Amazon and found it excellent. If you are a Pro or want to do graphic design then Photoshop is the only way to go. I wish Adobe would offer a photographers version of Photoshop that included Lightroom rather than or in addition to Bridge.

Monster MC 1000HD-2M Ultra-High Speed HDTV HDMI Cable (2 meters)

Very recently, I purchased a television at Best Buy. They don't sell the $5 and $10 HDMI cables you find at Fry's or on Amazon, so I went ahead and bought this cable.

I thought I wouldn't mind, after all I spent thousands on the TV, but it kept nagging me. So I bought a $2 HDMI cable from Amazon (search for HDMI and you'll see a few brands). My TV has twin HDMI inputs, so I hooked up this cable and the Monster cable, put on Casino Royale, and flipped between the cables to see what the difference was.

There was absolutely no difference. None at all. I figured the picture would be slightly sharper or the colors cleaner, but you could put a gun to my head and I wouldn't be able to tell you which was which.

And I googled HDMI and learned that if your video and audio signals work at all, then the signal is being carried correctly. There is no middle ground with HDMI. Better cables do not incrementally improve picture quality! Why? Because the HDMI is digital, and it's very difficult to distort a 1 into a 0. In fact, it's technically impossible without total signal distortion or failure. Failure in signal is caused by processors or cables that are too long. Or more likely, misconfigured systems. With digital signals, the cables have a much easier job. Imagine if you had to read a book from 100 yards away? That's analog. Imagine reading morse code from a flashlight at 100yards away (and you know morse cose)? That's digital.

So by buying this cable, you are insuring yourself that if your cable length is at the extreme, or if your house gets hit by an EMP, that this monster cable will shield that digital signal quite a bit better than the cheap cable. Why not pay $2 and see if that kind of insurance is necessary? After all, if the $2 cable works, it's not going to get better.

It's repulsive that Best Buy only sells extremely expensive cables. I'm glad Amazon gives me the choice. Don't be naive! Give the cheap cable a try! One word of caution: if you require HDMI 1.3a, get a compatible cable. For $15 bucks, you're still saving a lot of money. You can check your manuals to see if your audio quality is so high that you need the 1.3a cables. Either way, there's no reason to get this horribly overpriced cable.

The money you save can go into systems that transcode digital signals better. That's where the real improvement in picture and audio is to be found!

Bose SoundTouch 20 Wi-Fi Music System

Lovely product. I am quite particular about sound quality, and I have a reasonably high end audio system. I purchased the Sound Touch portable, and found it to be the best sounding of all these small devices. Easy to setup and use, I can take it all over the house with me. I understand a software update in 6 months or so will give me Spotify access.

Although a little pricey, you get what you pay for. I doubt there is anything this small and portable with this type of sound quality.

Olympus Stylus 5010 14 MP Digital Camera with 5x Wide Angle Dual

I own 2 other cameras a Nikon Coolpix point and shoot 12MP and a 15.1 Rebel T2i DSLR.

For a 200 dollar camera, it really isn't all too bad. 14MP and 5x optical zoom. Lens[ 4.7-23.5mm 1:2.8-6.5 ]

OVERALL feeling: (4.8 of 5)

It has pretty clear picture taking capabilites and is very USER FRIENDLY. Panaramic function works amazingly well. The camera itself is a great size and looks pretty slick, it doesn't look like a cheap camera. I think anyone would be happy with this purchase. It has a HDMI port and can take SDHC memory cards. You charge the camera battery with the battery in the camera, and the power cord is plugged into the camera itself, that is a nice feature, to not have to pull the battery out all the time to charge(like the coolpix i have). The buttons light up when touched momentarily and the camera has a nice power save option; all nice features.

HD VIDEO: (4.8 of 5) Not too shabby, volume is a little low, but im pretty sure there is a speaker option. I noticed it today. It definitely is always a nice feature to be able to capture video, in High Def no less. Only downside is that you can't take pictures while video recording, i like that option on my DSLR.

Lighting: (4.3 of 5) you have a few different options depending on location: sunny, cloudy, what type of indoor lighting i.e 3 different flourescent settings and 1 incandescent. Weird thing is cloudy works better indoors under flourescent light better than all the flourescent settings. Very slight exageration of the yellow hue. Cloudy whittens things up and makes the room look as if it were under regular incandescent bulb lights. All in all, you can place it on WB auto, and the setting the camera auto selects works better than fine.

I am quite satisfied and feel anyone else would be as well..and i spent 250 buying from an overpriced Postal Exchange lol.

Samsung 12MP Dig Camera 4.6X Opt 3 In LCD Red

First off let me say that the reviewer that said it is hard to delete your photo's right away simply does not know what he/she is talking about! Obviously they have not read the manual, researched the camera before buying it, or did not spend as much time with it as maybe they should have.

All you have to do to delete a photo or movie clip "right away" is, with your finger make an "X" on the screen (Touch Screen) over the picture, a delete button pops-up you press it and the picture is gone. It literally takes 2 seconds, if that.

Below is my review of what I have discovered so far, mind you I DO NOT Personally own the Camera yet, mine is on the way, but I have toyed with it for probably almost 3 hours already at Best Buy (Went to Best Buy again today just to toy with this Camera some more, Twice! Once by Myself, another with my daughter). I have done extensive research on the TL225 and the TL220 (an incredible amount). The review below was written by me a couple days ago for a different web-site to educate folks on this camera.

Here ya gooo...

I went to Best Buy yesterday and played around with the TL220 (st500 and st550 in Europe and Asia, and is the same cam as the TL225, just less features) for over an hour (no kidding, an employee told me to "Just buy the thing already"lol), and I can not express how much I LOVE this thing!

I have never had so much fun playing around with a camera before! It is sooo user friendly, I picked it up and knew everything within a couple of minutes!

The Pictures it took where pretty good, it didn't do so well with close moving subjects, much blurr, but still pics where clear and the colors where vibrant. I found a Korean site to where a gentleman who bought this Cam posted a TON of Pic's, they all looked wonderful as-well. He also stated that this was a "Very Very good Cam".

My favorite feature that sent me over the top was the "Beauty Shot" mode and front LCD feature! I have scars on my face due to acne (pretty bad scaring), and I went into Best Buy looking greasy and very sweaty (just got off of work). The pictures I took of myself in Beauty Shot mode made me look like a Model!!! I am not kidding, my face went from greasy and nasty in regular pics I was taking of myself, to looking like I belonged on a runway for a photoshoot once in Beauty Mode!!! I was SHOCKED at how perfectly complected my face looked, you could not see one acne scar or blemish, it was amazing! I did not expect this feature to work so well!!!

I took probably 80 or so pic's of myself, I absolutely love the front screen! Yes, I took pics of myself before, but only for web-sites a forum purposes. With this, it was a BLAST!!! I had so much fun with this camera, I did not expect myself to care to much for the front screen, but I will be using it all the time once I pick-up this cam!!

All I was looking for was a decent point and shoot that had great HD video and good quality Pic's for vacationing, and playing with this cam for as long as I did sent me over the edge with all the features it has, I REALLY LOVE IT! I would like to note that my fiance owns the Nikon D90 and I use it often, so I have some decent knowledge on how pictures should look. I also own my share of P&S cams.

The girl at Best Buy told me they Sold Out right away and have the cam on back-order, and that she hears nothing but good things about it (she is actually going to school for photography and said she thinks the cam is a really good buy, and she was not saying this because she works there, I have known her for atleast a year already (from Best Buy) so we are more friends then me being just a customer to her.

I also tested the HD video and it was WONDERFUL! Someone posted 3 test vids on YouTube using the tl220, the new compression format makes it look like HD even when choosing not to watch in HD! Never seen such great quality Vid before in a camera!!! It is also REALLY REALLY cool how you can Pause when recording, and then resume play when you decide to, this way all recordings are on the same file. You can also edit the vid in camera by trimming the vid, meaning takeout parts you don't want and keep what you do want.

I will be getting the TL225 instead of the TL220. It has a bigger screen, metal back instead of the Tl220's plastic back, HDMI inputs (for viewing your Pics and Vid on an HD TV) that the TL220 does not have, and I believe the TL225 has 2 more modes that the TL220 does not have. One is Action mode (which may fix the blurr in moving subjects, it should), and another mode I have which to identify. The TL225 shows 16 different modes in "Smart Capture" mode, and TL220 shows 14. The TL225's also has haptic feedback, which vibrates the screen slightly so the user knows when he/she selects a command, TL220 does not have this. The TL225 also wieghs a half-ounce more then the TL220 due to the choice of displays. One more thing to note is that the TL220 3.0-inch LCD screen resolution has 230,000 dots, while the TL225 has much much higher resolution at 1,152,000 dots on it's 3.5-inch LCD, the highest ever resolution on a Point and Shoot Camera (for you newbe's the higher the resolution the clearer the screen will be and you will be able to see more detail on whatever it is you are taking a picture of). To me, the extra $50 for the TL225 is well worth it if you can offord it.

Note that both Cams (TL220 and TL225) look identical other then the back screen being bigger on the TL225, and the colors they come in. I do wish the TL225 came in Red and Blue, but the orange will have to do for me. I will also be posting this same review for the TL220 for people looking to get that since thats the actual Cam that I toyed with.

I have done sooo much research on these cams in the past 2 weeks it is ridiculous!!lol I will give a more extensive review once I have this puppy to play with for longer then just a couple of hours.

All I have to say is I LOVE THIS CAM and can't wait to get it, it def exceeded my expectations thus far! :)

ASUS S56CA-DH51 15.6-Inch Ultrabook (Black)

I purchased this computer (S56CA-WH31) for my son to use at college, and have been configuring it for him for the past couple of days. Here are a few of my impressions so far:

The overall construction is very good except for one issue the DVD tray extends out from the side of the laptop by about 1 mm. One on-line reviewer noticed that the fit of the DVD tray was off in his review model also, but I am surprised that this got through into the production models. It is not a big issue, but it definitely detracts from the look of the aluminum body.

The screen is bright and clear and has good viewing angles. The keyboard is nice and big and works well with my hunt and peck. The large scroll pad is nice, and I am liking the imbedded buttons more than I thought I would.

The operating system is Windows 8 core (not pro). There is an ASUS-branded software DVD player, so I didn't have to upgrade to pro to get the windows media pack for DVD play as I feared I might have to. There is no utility to create recovery DVD's even though the paper manual refers to one called AI recovery. There is a Bluetooth module, so the "reviewer" who says that there isn't one is wrong.

The 500 GB hard drive is partitioned into a number of system and recovery partitions and a C: system partition of about 186 GB along with a D: data "drive" of about 258 GB. I used the Windows 8 disk manager to first remove the D: partition, expand the system "drive" to around 400 GB, and then used the rest of the space for a 39 GB D: drive just in case the recovery software expects to find the D: drive there.

I installed Start8 from Stardock to get a start menu back on the desktop, and have ordered a 4GB SODIMM to expand the memory up to 8 GB ($25) I figured more memory would be useful especially with the imbedded HD-4000 graphics.

I don't know what the reviewer who was complaining that this was a "slow" computer was talking about. It has a windows experience score of 4.8, which is not bad for an I-3 without turbo-boost and with imbedded graphics. It won't play highly graphics intensive games, but that's not what I bought it for, not should you expect it from the online specs.
