I have purchased these lights for a video documentary with over 80 interviews in all different lighting situations. I ahve to admit that we have handled them quite rough. They have been thrown in the back of the car flown once around the globe and have never failed. Only one bulb was damaged by a suitcase and that's it. The light is sufficient and absolutely clear. The stands are strong enough and the reflector is strong and bright. I am using the little shower cap which comes with the reflector and never used the softbox. So I do not know if they are hard to install. If someone wants to buy them. you are welcome. Send an email to and let me know. The shower cap in front of the reflector has the same effect as the softbox and the bulbs are much more protected.
