This is a wonderful lens which produces very sharp pictures. It's a gem for its cheap price. It is manual focus, and you need to set the aperture manually. Once you learn how to use a manual focus fish-eye, you will enjoy the quality of the pictures. They are some useful focal length and aperture suggestions that you can find online specific to this lens.

This lens is made by Samyang and rebranded for many other brands and different mounts. Samyang rebrands the same exact lens for Bower, Rokinon, Opteka, Pro-Optic, Falcon, Vivitar, Polar, Walimex, Bell + Howell, and so on. Even when you see different focal lengths, they are the exact same lens: Rokinon 8mm, Vivitar 7mm, or Opteka 6.5mm. All of them except Vivitar even look exactly the same. Vivitar is a little different on the outside with a rubber focus ring, red front ring, and red and white prints instead of the common white and gold appearance of others. So, just get the one that is cheaper or go with Vivitar. I first got the Pro-Optic version but exchanged it later for Vivitar. I kind of like how Vivitar looks on the Sony SLT-A77, because the red prints match the camera logo even better.

Normally, there should be a cheap nylon lens pouch in the package. However, the Pro-Optic that I got from Adorama didn't have one, but the Vivitar had. Other things in the package are front lens cap, rear lens cap, and built-in not detachable lens hood. Get this lens, you won't be disappointed.
