Bought the red version of the Canon SX260. Takes great pictures, even with the 20x optical zoom and the 80X digital zoom (essentially turns into a 3 megapixel camera). Image stabilization works well in low light and during videos. The one I received did have a noticeable airy sound with a small high pitched squeal when I took a video in a very quiet environment (not manipulating the camera in any way). I would guess that the automatic gain on the mic was a bit too aggressive. I had read about this in other reviews, so checked it out. I happened to be in S. CA shortly after I received the camera, so took it into the Canon service center in Irvine, not knowing what to expect. The clerk checked out the camera, and after some discussion and the technician checking it out, offered to send me a new one from their customer center on the east coast. I was hoping that it would not have the same problem. It arrived 2 days later, and the video mic works excellently.
I and my family have owned several Canon cameras from point and shoots up to more expensive Rebels and 60D, and this one continues the tradition of giving excellent pictures (and now videos).
