The Tamron 18-270 is a very nice all-in-one lens. So if you are wanting a single lens to do pretty much everything and avoid switching lenses or having to carry multiples around, this is a good choice. But its long focal length with lots of interior glass makes it stiff to turn when zooming. And the longer you push the lens, the higher your minimum f-stop goes. So you become increasingly limited in low light areas without a flash. But if you are shooting for personal pleasure, either indoors with a flash or outdoors in natural light, then this lens is a great one to have on any DSLR. Tamron makes the lens for Nikon, Canon and Sony.
