I gave 3 star for the fact
-Good design...it's a Ferrari look on a tripod
-Good price
-Very light weight
-Very good locking system
-Nice accent color
The bads:
-Cheap wimpy bag
-The bottom leg is weak and flimsy, making the tripod wobble
-When the wind blows don't expect it to stay stable! I use Nikon D300s with 80-400mm and it made the camera and the tripod wobble.
If only the bottom leg was as thick as the center I think this would of been a stable tripod. I recommend Series 2 instead of Series 1. Series 1 the bottom legs are too weak and flimsy. Series 2 weight is not much more than Series 1 but at leaast it is stable.
I resold mine and bought an Induro CT214 Carbon Fiber Tripod instead. I did not want to spend $650-700 for Gitzo, this Induro was actually more stable than Gitzo Carbon in similar series. And it also comes with spikes and a padded bag with 5 years warranty for no additional charge. It cost me $400.
