For the past few month's i have been shopping for a spotting scope for my needs: (1) range shooting to 600 yds, (2) hunting in GA/AL/SC with a maximum visual coverage of about the same (3) some deer, prairie dog and varmint hunting in my home state of TX, and (4) all together in one neat protective case. Even though I would love to have one, I don't have the money to spend thousands of dollars for a Swarovski or others in that class. After reviewing several competitors, I chose the Leupold. I have used their riflescopes and knew their optics are excellent. All the reviews I read placed the SX-1 Ventana kit ahead of much more expensive models and generally classified it as their favorite for the money and I TOTALLY AGREE WITH THEM. Good hunting!
