I just received this item so I cannot comment on the audio quality, but please note it does not come with any way to attach it to the camera. No bracket is included. It just hangs there... For $800, Sony can't include a mounting option?

I have been using this for about 10 months now, and LOVE IT. It is very clean which is something I was initially worried about.
I often use just one microphone, and it has the ability to send that one mic, to both channels, allowing you to set the level of those channels separately, or set one to auto to have a nice backup should levels quickly change. Yes, it has no mounting bracket, so you'll need to pick one up.
This could be so much better if it hand a handle on the top, and you could simply mount it to the cameras shoe, without the need of the cable.
Microphone is included.
