Just like my title says, it's an amazing action camera. This isn't your home video recorder, this is made for capturing those outdoor moments in amazing detail. I use mine in my Jeep, mountain bike and when I snowboard and my favorite feature has to be the remote. Its easy to use and I no longer have to look at the camera (like I did with other models) to make sure it was in record mode.
The water-resistant feature is very nice since it can get wet up to 9 feet without having to use a case. Granted a case would just add bulk and I'm not the type to take it scuba diving but for those that do I'm sure this has some amazing underwater video. Mine stands up to those mud puddles, dust, rain and snow great.
So get the new update and enjoy this camera. I don't regret selling my Hero Black at all because of this camera's low profile and ease of use. It's a great camera to have and with all the features built in that I had to buy for my old camera. Give it a shot! Just don't expect to use it for those home video's or weddings.. unless your jumping from an airplane. :)
Also, I thought I would point out that NO run of the mill micro SD memory card will do! Get a class 10, and the camera supports up to a 32gb memory card and Amazon has them, picked one up for $25. I've read so many reviews and come to find out the reason the video/picture looked so bad was because of some cheap memory card. No regrets here, I'm loving the Ghost and thinking of picking up another for some extra angle shots.
