I chose this over the Finevu Pro Full HD (which is a more mainstream brand/product in Korea) for the following reasons:
-Full HD (1920x1080) @ 30fps (FineVu is 15fps at full HD)
-Built-in GPS (FineVu offers GPS sold separately)
-SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card compatible up to 128GB (class 10 recommended)--FinVu is up to 32GB (micro SD)
-Wide operating temperature (-4F to 176F) vs. Finvu 14F to 140F
-Includes detachable UV filter that protects the lens and optional CPL filter (sold separately) which is a polarizer that works well in day/sunlight. *You can also purchase 3rd party 37mm CPL filter (threaded) for fraction of what Lukas charges.
Now for the CONS:
-The plastic mount is vulnerable to breaking when trying to remove the camera. It is extremely important to remove one side and use a twist off motion taking out the other side instead of pulling it out.
-Not as stealthy as slim dash cams such as the BlackVue models.
OTHER NOTES:
-Check Lukashd.com for more product information (English version available)
-The viewer program offers various setting adjustments and it is relatively easy to use/navigate. Check their website for the latest firmware and viewer (AC23 and 1.7.5 as of time of this review).
-The 8GB SD card that came with the product gives maybe 90 to 120 minutes of video capture @ full HD setting (1920x1080).
-Currently, the Vico-TF2+ offers the best video quality (but the bulky design may be a turn off), but the difference is not significant from other top of the line dash cams such as Lukas 7900, fineVu, BlackVue, etc...
-DashCamTalk.com is a great resource to find out more about dash cams and ask questions in the forums.
